Happy Earth Day!

Here is your daily reminder the world does not revolve around you...so pick up your trash, start recycling, and stop eating so much meat!

(I think I need that on a t-shirt...perfect for when you're visiting family and wanting to start a fight with your old school relatives right?!)

Anyways, I wanted to create this list to show you a couple ways to save the planet that cost you barely anything (and may even save you money!) since the most common excuse I hear from people is "I don't have the money to go green". If you have money for that $5 latte, you have a couple bucks to help the planet!

(and I included my 5 favorite Netflix Documentaries too!)

1. Switch Your Straws!

Did you know 500 million straws are used and discarded every day in the United States alone? That’s 175 Billion a year filtering into landfills (environment) and littering our waterways and oceans!

The crazy thing is every caribbean country I have visited (Aruba, the Bahamas, even Haiti) do not serve plastic straws! They either have cardboard OR do not give you one at all! There are signs everywhere in the restaurants educating tourists on the sea turtles and ocean getting polluted by straws, but in the United States we give them away like candy!

So what can you do?! CARRY YOUR OWN STRAW! There are tons of stainless steel straws you can buy and just throw in your purse, backpack, car, and kitchen so you do not have to add another plastic one to the ocean.

2. Cut Back Your Meat Consumption
